Counseling Services Nazareth Ministries Counseling Services
Nazareth Ministries' integrates a combination of counseling tools and methods, which include biblical and spiritual disciplines such as prayer, scripture reading, and guidance from the Holy Spirit. You and the counselor will work together to achieve a physical, emotional, and spiritual balance in your life by linking and aligning your issues and concerns together with Christ, the Wonderful Counselor.
COUNSELING SERVICES AVAILABLE
Face-to-face or tele-counseling services for individual counseling with adults (men & women), groups, and couples in the areas of self-esteem, relationships, transition and change, communication skills; finding emotional balance; grief/loss, and personal growth and life changes etc; as they connect with the Word of God and spiritual growth in Christ. Also counseling by telephone is a good option for people that don't feel comfortable talking face-to-face and are satisfied with simply talking to another human being about their issues and concerns.
What are the advantages of tele-counseling?
Most people don't need to engage in long-term counseling treatment, but one or a few consultations can help them make better decisions or change their lives. This is when tele-counseling is most recommended
Payment Donations (tax deductible) are due prior to each sessions and are negotiable. We want to help you with your spiritual formation and growth. All donations go to help Christian clergy leaders with sabbaticals and retreats. Click here
**** Nazareth Ministries services are not appropriate for someone who is suicidal, in a life threatening situation, psychotic, under the influence, and/or believes his/her behavior can be harmful to themselves or someone else. In these cases contact the nearest emergency room or dial 911,
COUNSELORS ON STAFF
![]() My name is Pensacola H. Jefferson. I am a Pastoral Counselor serving the community. I am currently pursuing a EdD in Education (Pastoral Community Counseling), and have vast experience in providing counseling for men and women across the country.
**To clergy leaders and the body of Christ: First, I believe God's Word is sufficient in establishing a foundational truth by which our emotions, thoughts, behavioral problems, and personal issues can be evaluated. Second, counseling concepts and procedures are based on and lined up with the finished work of Christ. Third, I believe that Christ is the Wonderful Counselor and it is important to rely on the ministry of the Holy Spirit in all counseling sessions. Fourth, counselors are servants of God and are limited by a counselee's response to God's truth and their responsibility to choose God's truth. Finally, "The counselor is to minister God's Word in a life-transforming way, such that God Himself changes the counselee - from the heart outward" (Adams, 1986).
I am God's heart and the mouthpiece for His heart. This is my calling. Allow me to fulfill God's purpose by helping you. Hope to hear from you soon. Godspeed. Pensacola

Disclaimer:
IN NO WAY does tele-counseling replace a therapeutic relationship based on face-to-face interactions. One main disadvantage is that the counselor CANNOT verify information, consult first-hand with other service providers such as the client’s primary care physician, and does not have visual cues with which are all basic elements of a therapeutic intervention. Therefore, the counselor solely relies on the client’s honesty. Each person is responsible for making the decision about which form of counseling to pursue and needs to be open and honest with the counselor about the facts of their situation so that the counselor may guide them for their own best interest.
